Therapy for Adults & Parent Coaching

As a parent myself, I can attest to how the role and relationships can be both challenging and joyful. It can feel confusing and maybe even scary when your adolescent is experiencing bigger and volatile emotions. Maybe your adolescent is becoming more defiant or engaging in risky behaviors and you find yourself in frequent power struggles. You might feel alone and lost in knowing how to maintain your connection with your child while holding boundaries and expectations.

I also know, as a parent, that as we witness our children grow, we are confronted with familiar emotions from our own experiences; being parented, navigating peer relationships, and the typical hardships of adolescence. Staying steady, attuned, and present is what you may strive for and yet, you may find yourself flooded with emotion, uncertain, and disconnected. Whether you are a parent or not, at different stages of life our strong emotions emerge, leading us to react in relationship with others (our family of origin, our own children, friends, partners, colleagues, etc.). Sometimes these emotions leave us feeling overwhelmed, confused, lonely, or stuck. I provide a supportive and empowering approach to help adults and parents to navigate the complexities of raising children, stay regulated, understand and prioritize their needs, and maintain effective and meaningful relationships.
